I launched a blog one day ago. It’s already at 300 organic reads and counting.

Launching a new blog can be an exciting but daunting experience. You may have doubts about whether anyone will read your content, or if you have anything valuable to say. But sometimes, all it takes is a leap of faith to see success beyond your wildest dreams.

That’s exactly what happened when I launched my blog just one day ago.

I’m still in shock over how quickly my blog has taken off. And no I’m not talking about this medium jibber-jabber, it’s a .com Here are some things that surprised me about the launch:

  1. I didn’t even like the URL I picked: When I was choosing a URL, I settled on one that I didn’t really love. I thought it was the best I could come up with at the time. But it just goes to show that the URL doesn’t matter as much as the content you create.
  2. I created the website in less than 20 minutes: I didn’t spend a lot of time on the design or layout of my blog. I simply used a free template and made a few minor adjustments. This shows that you don’t need to be a web design expert to launch a successful blog.
  3. I didn’t expect it to do anything, let alone surge in traffic: I didn’t have high expectations at first. I figured I would just write for fun and maybe a few people would read it. But it’s clear that there is an audience for my content.
  4. I fully expected all the visits to be me — but nope: I thought that all the traffic would be from me checking it out repeatedly. But to my surprise, there were actual readers who found the blog organically.
  5. I’m definitely going to keep blogging. I wonder how to monetize this?: After seeing such success in just one day, I’m excited to keep blogging and see where it takes me. I’m already thinking about ways to monetize my blog and turn it into a profitable venture.

Overall, my experience launching a blog has been a whirlwind. (of exactly one day lololol) It just goes to show that sometimes taking a leap of faith and putting yourself out there can yield amazing results.

When your traffic surges unexpectedly, it can be a bit of a mystery as to where it’s coming from. This was the case for me, and I was left wondering where all the traffic was coming from.

After a bit of investigating, it became clear that the traffic was largely coming from shares. I’d shared the URL in a group, not thinking anything of it, and it seemed that my content had struck a chord with some readers who found it valuable enough to share with their own followers. This led to a domino effect, with more and more people discovering the site as it was shared across different platforms.

I also want to take a moment to express my gratitude to all the readers who have found and read my content on Medium. Without you, I never would have considered starting a blog. Your support and encouragement have given me the confidence to take my writing to the next level. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey. I look forward to continuing to share my thoughts and ideas with you.

As a writer, it can be difficult to share your work with the world. There’s always the fear that your writing won’t be well received or that it will be misunderstood.

In my own experience, I’ve been writing for some time now, but I’m not quite ready to explain what I’ve been writing about. It’s not that I’m ashamed of my work, but rather that I’m still exploring my style and finding my voice as a writer. I want to make sure that when I do share my work, it’s the best representation of my abilities. And there’s also that it might not resonate with everyone.

Perhaps one day, you’ll read something that I’ve written and recognize my style. That would be an amazing feeling. But for now, I’m content to keep honing my craft and improving as a writer. I believe that every writer goes through a period of exploration and self-discovery before they find their true voice. It’s all part of the journey.

So, if you’re a writer who is still finding their voice, don’t be afraid to take your time and explore different styles and topics. When you’re ready to share your work with the world, it will be worth the wait.

One day I will write my story, and drop it as a fictional novel. Paradoxically my words are not lies.
